The Office of International Relations and R&D Management is pleased to call for International University (IU) students’ application for the Temasek Foundation (TF) – National University of Singapore (NUS) Leadership Enrichment and Regional Networking (LEaRN) Awards for Semester 2 AY 2008/2009 (commencing January 2009).

Successful candidates will be receiving a lump sum of S$6,000 as allowance for their semester of study at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Under this award, the students can take up to a maximum of 4 modules at NUS, and will be expected to participate in service learning activities during their stint in Singapore.. They must also sit for examinations for all the modules that they have registered during their one semester stint there. The students will be allowed to transfer to IU their credits earned at NUS.

Application procedure:

Print out a copy of your completed online application form and submit it (with passport sized photo attached) together with the required supporting documents, including:

Certified copies (in original language with English translation, if applicable) of all certificates, transcripts or reports showing grades awarded by institutions that you have completed or are currently pursuing, including a letter of confirmation of registration as a student of the university;

Documentary evidence of all awards (e.g. Honors, Distinctions, Book prizes and Scholarships) received in the last 5 years in chronological order;

Documentary evidence of Co-Curricular Activities (especially of leadership experiences) from the past 5 years;

Short essay of not more than 500 words about your interest in the TF-NUS LEaRN Award;

Certification, and letter for credit transfer from IU;

Other supporting documents.
