Some recent activities of international
relations:
On 31 March, 2008, representatives from
University of New South Wales, Australia, came to follow up the
agreements with IU and discussed the possibilities of
co-establishing a corporate training center in Ho Chi Minh City.
On 27 March, 2008, representatives of
University of the West of England visited IU to follow up the
twinning program of the two universities.
On 25 March, 2008, Prof. Osama Eguchi,
Director of the International Center, Otaru University of
Commerce, Japan, visited IU campus and discussed possibilities
of building student exchange programs with IU.
On 10 March, 2008, Ms. Jean Choy from
University of Washington, USA, was invited to IU to discuss
possibilities of building the EMBA program.
On 7 March, 2008 Prof. Richard from UNC, USA,
came to explore collaborative possibilities with IU.
On 6 March, 2008, Prof. Roger Tran-Son-Tay
from University of Florida, USA, paid a visit to IU.
From 5 to 26 March, 2008, Prof. Barbara
Parker from Seattle University, USA, came to deliver lectures
and seminars, discuss collaborative possibilities with IU, and
help to establish new curriculum of School of Business
Administration.
On 29 February, 2008, Prof. Charles Nguyen
and Dr. Uyen Nguyen from Catholic University of America visited
to sign new Memorandum of Understanding with IU and talk with IU
students about scholarships for studying at CUA.
On 28 February, 2008, Ms. Shona Malcolm,
International Officer of Strathclyde University, Scotland,
visited IU campus and discussed possibilities of collaborating
with IU.
From 27 February to 16 March, 2008, Prof.
Ioan Marinescu from University of Toledo, USA, came to deliver
lectures and seminars, and discuss collaborative possibilities
with IU.
On 26 February, 2008, representatives of
Lemania Group, Switzerland, visited and discussed collaborative
possibilities on BBA/MBA programs.
Upcoming events in
May:
From 7 to 9 May, 2008, a delegation of
University of Nottingham is coming to work with IU on the 2 + 2
program, which has been making very good progress since its
establishment.
In collaboration with British Council, the
International University is going to hold a seminar on 9 May,
2008. The two lectures delivered in the seminar will be “How to
build a Virtual Human?” and “Future Electronics: Breaking the
speed barrier”.
From 12 to 13 May, 2008, representatives of
Auckland University of Technology is coming to sign the
Memorandum of Agreement with IU. The delegation includes Dr.
Geoff Perry and Mr. Bruce Jones, Associate Deans of Business
School; Mr. Chris Hawley, AUT Director, International Relations
and Development; and Prof. Thomas Lange, Professor of Economics,
Business School.
On 21 May,
2008, the university is having a visit from Mr. Khoa Nguyen,
General Manager of the Building and
Construction Industry Training Organization, New Zealand. He is
expected to give a talk to IU students, sharing with them his
successful experience of living, studying and working in this
country. |
