November 20^th, 2008 – Auditorium 512 of the Administration Building, Vietnam National University HCMC, the International University solemnly held a meeting to celebrate the Vietnamese Teacher’s day with the participation of the Rectorate Board, staff, faculty and students.

 During the meeting, staff, faculty and students warmly congratulated Prof. Ho Thanh Phong, the Rector and Prof. Chu Quoc Thang, the Vice-Rector who had been given the title “Distinguished Teacher”. The meeting was followed by congratulations from audiences to Dr. Mai Linh – School of Electrical Engineering – who gained the award of excellent scientific paper AY 2007 – 2008 given by Vietnam National University HCMC.

  In addition, the sport festival for staff and faculty was totalized on this day. Units and individuals who got the championship of such sports: soccer, ping pong, badminton, tennis, chess and Chinese chess.

  At the end of the meeting, a music show to greet the Teacher’s day was performed by students, staff and faculty

  In harmony with the ebullient atmosphere of Teacher’s day, students of IU also organized a spontaneous performance which attracted a lot of students and faculty at the hall of 6^th floor, Administration building – Vietnam National University HCMC.
