Job Description

International University is seeking staff for Office of External & Public Relations. The successful candidates are required to fulfill one of the following duties (please specify in the job title when you apply)

1. Student Exchange Program Coordinator: Outbound
1.1 Be responsible for regular Outbound Exchange Program at International University:
- Promote Student Exchange Program (SEP) on relevant channels such as the University’s website, fan page, facebook, and similar channels of (1) Office of External and Public Relations and (2) International Student Service Center;
- Coordinate with other internal and external units to promote SEP;
- Prepare promotional materials for the SEP such as student handbooks, leaflet and brochure;
- Regularly liaise with each of IU partners to keep the SEP up-to-date;
- Introduce and advise interested students to apply for the SEP;
- Receive students’ applications;
- Coordinate with partners, relevant Departments/Schools and Offices to process the nomination/admission of Outgoing students;
- Advise students on visa application for different countries;
- Keep track of students during their exchange period;
- Receive Exchange Students’ academic results at the end of exchange period and forward to relevant units (Partners, Students, Departments/Schools, Offices)
- Support International Student Service Center to organize Study Tour Programs; 
- Report periodically (if required)
1.2 Promote Student Exchange Program with scholarship:
- Receive information and promote exchange programs with scholarship possibilities from Partners, Vietnam National University – HCMC and other units;
- Coordinate with partners, relevant Departments/Schools and Offices to process the nomination/admission of exchange students.
- Keep track of and process exchange programs with scholarship similar to the SEP procedure.
1.3 Keep the website of Office of External and Public Relations and International Student Service Center up-to-date.
1.4 Complete other general tasks assigned by Head of Office of External and Public Relations.

2. Student Exchange Program Coordinator: Inbound
2.1 Be responsible for Regular Inbound Exchange Program:
- Regularly liaise with IU partners to keep the SEP up-to-date;
- Closely work with Partner’s Coordinators to host/receive international students;
- Organize Orientation week; 
- Providing continuing supports towards international students, including academic-related matters, accommodation arrangements and others;
- Closely work with Buddy Club to organize ISSC’s events;
- Support international students and fellows to obtain and/or extend their entry visas.
2.2 Be responsible for the organization of Study Tour Programs:
- Closely work with Partners to organize Study Tour Programs for international students groups;
- Liaise with external services providers to organize outing trip;
- Liaise with industry to organize company visits.
2.3 Oversee Buddy Club:
- Closely work with Buddy Club leader to recruit and train new members, combine Buddy Club’s activities with ISSC’s events.
2.4 Report periodically (if required) and complete other general tasks assigned by Head of Office of External and Public Relations

Requirements Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree

Skills:

English: Fluent (especially listening, speaking and writing skills) 
Computer: Advanced Microsoft Office skills 
Other(s): - Good communication skills
               - Be able to work independently and in a team
               - Be proactive 
               - Good time management skill.

Experience:
- Candidates with study abroad experiences are preferred
- Candidates with consulting services experiences are preferred

Other(s):

- Commit to the University on long-term basis
- Be willing to work overtime
- Obtain relevant knowledge in Public Relations fields
- Pay attention to detail.
